Bob Bocking has spent much of his career pursuing salmon research in British Columbia. In an ever-changing client environment, Bob has been fortunate to work for government, public, First Nation, and industry clients. Bob excels in finding practical and applied solutions to complex fisheries management questions.
Bob's current work is focused in five primary areas: 1) salmon recovery planning, 2) fish passage feasibility assessments at hydro-electric dams, 3) design and installation of enumeration systems for juvenile and adult salmon, 4) treaty negotiations, and 5) effects of noise on marine organisms.
Bob is a member of several salmon recovery round tables in British Columbia, a member of the Pacific Salmon Endowment Fund Society Technical Committee, a member of the Nisga'a Joint Salmon Technical Committee, and an advisor to the Haida Fisheries Joint Salmon Technical Committee. He is also a member of the College of Applied Biology and Association of Professional Biologists of British Columbia.
