Taylor Brown is an enthusiastic and experienced biologist with an interest in all things ecological. She has over 10 years of experience in avian ecological research and monitoring studies at various locations in Canada and the United States. These experiences have contributed to her robust and diverse skillset which includes remote fieldwork planning and logistics, passive and targeted mist-netting, bird banding, VHF radio-tracking, nest monitoring, bird surveys, behavioural experiments, statistical analysis, scientific writing, and project management. From tracking warbler and owl migration (B.Sc., Acadia University) to studying spatiotemporal differences in subarctic-breeding shorebird nest predation (M.Sc., York University) to quantifying behavioural responses of puffins and storm-petrels to artificial light (Ph.D., Trent University), Taylor has studied challenging issues affecting a diverse range of avian taxa and has published several scientific papers on her research.
