Grant Kauffman has over 25 years of consulting experience as an environmental planner and planning ecologist. He has worked on complex and controversial site and route selection studies, environmental assessments and environmental management plans for federal, provincial and municipal infrastructure projects. Grant has developed and applied environmental screening/comparative criteria and multi-criteria analysis methods, conducted and coordinated field investigations, performed impact assessment, and identified impact management and monitoring measures for land development and infrastructure projects including highways, municipal roads, rapid transit systems, water and wastewater systems, harbours, and landfill sites. Grant has been involved in hundreds of environmental assessment studies, where he has been responsible for natural heritage investigations, designing and implementing stakeholder consultation programs, resolving environmental issues, preparing environmental documentation, and securing environmental process and technical approvals. He is an effective communicator and he has an established rapport with regulatory agencies.
