Shane Johnson joined LGL Limited in 2012 as a fisheries biologist. He has worked on a variety of fish habitat restoration and enhancement projects within British Columbia. Shane has also conducted numerous habitat and stock assessments, stage discharge relationship studies, effectiveness monitoring programs and environmental monitoring activities. He has participated in compensation projects and fish tagging studies.

Shane has a keen interest salmonid biology – specifically the interactions of juvenile salmonids in estuarine environments. He has experience working with, coordinating and presenting information to municipal, provincial, and federal government departments, community groups, First Nations, and private companies. During his career, Shane has also taught on the topic of nature and received much inspiration from the enthusiasm and curiosity of his young students. Through his work, Shane seeks to involve youth in community stewardship projects whenever possible.
