Stephen Kingshott joined LGL Limited in June 2009. Since first working for LGL Limited as a fisheries technician in 2008, Stephen has primarily worked on fisheries projects with the Nisga'a Fisheries Program in the Nass watershed—a remote part of west-central British Columbia. Stephen served as the field biologist for a multi-species salmon weir on the Kwinageese River and handled crew supervision, biological oversight, and data management. Stephen also participated in a number of other projects related to in-season salmon management and stock assessment including the acoustic tagging of salmon smolts at a Columbia River dam, the Nass River fishwheels, escapement estimates for Chinook and Coho salmon in the Nass watershed using visual survey techniques, and the capture and tagging of burbot in Arrow Lakes. Stephen has a high level of competence in the capture, handling, sampling, and tagging of fish species.
