Ana Carolina Lima joins us with a Ph.D. in Biology and Ecology of Global Change, as well as 10+ years of expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment, Management, and Biomonitoring. With a strong background in environmental sciences, aquatic ecology, and data analysis, her contributions have led to complex scientific reviews, designed bioassay studies, and synthesized scientific and regulatory literature to inform policy recommendations. Moreover, her commitment to diversity and inclusivity is demonstrated through her involvement as a Board Director for WinSETT and the IWS Network.

In the last 5 years as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary, Ana provided technical support to Alberta’s Oil Sands Monitoring Program, aiding in the assessment of water quality, aquatic ecosystem dynamics and the impact of multiple stressors on the biological endpoints of the Athabasca River Basin.
