Kaitlyn Manishin joined LGL in 2022 after working in the U.S. public sector for Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the National Park Service. She specializes in monitoring salmon escapement and fish habitat assessment. She has managed projects using fixed picket and floating weirs, DIDSON and ARIS sonar, underwater video, and radio telemetry systems. Kaitlyn has a penchant for tackling and solving quantitative problems. Her statistical analyses have included estimating probability of maturation in juvenile steelhead, simulating Chinook Salmon life history with varying mortality, and using Bayesian methods to model Salmon Shark growth. She is a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) in B.C. under the College of Applied Biologists.
