Jennifer Noël has many years of experience in the field of ecology working with Laurentian University, Ministry of Natural Resources, Trout Unlimited, U.S. Geological Survey and Credit Valley Conservation. She has been a botanist with LGL Limited since August 2006 and a Certified Arborist since May 2009. She has worked on botanical identification throughout much of Ontario and western United States. She has conducted botanical investigations for numerous infrastructure and land development projects including highways, roads, water and wastewater facilities and residential developments.

Jennifer's recent work involved the field verification of biodiversity models for the mining industry. She is experienced at characterizing communities using the standard method of Ecological Land Classificaiton (ELC) and monitoring forest using the Ecolocial Management and Assessment Network (EMAN). Her experience includes the collection of background review information, field investigations, habitat characterizations, biodiversity assessments, data collection and analysis, impact assessments, hazard tree assessments, tree health assessments, arborist reports, species at risk monitoring, invasive species control, and tailings pond revegetation. She has prepared and implemented research designs for a variety of projects. Such work included monitoring invasive plant species and control mechanisms, field identification of aquatic plant species, wetland characterization and measurement of limonlogical parameters. She has assisted with several long‑term plant monitoring projects such as, vegetation inventories across the Credit Valley Watershed, the investigation of cattle removal and the effect of non-native grasses across the western United States and wetland monitoring in the Sudbury Landscape. Along with her plant identification skills, Jennifer has been involved in macro-invertebrate and fisheries projects with the Ministry of Natural Resources Fisheries Co‑op Unit in Sudbury and Trout Unlimited in Guelph.
